Day 1  

Airport / Pinnawala / Kandy

Upon arrival, you will be picked up at the Colombo Bandaranayke airport by our trustee local driver.

You will then be transferred to Pinnawala, which is famous for their Elephant Orphanage. It is a 25 acre coconut property that is a conservation camp for Sri Lankan elephants. Here you will witness baby elephants being fed by a feeding bottles as soon as you enter. This is a lovely site for tourists.

This elephant orphanage also houses the crippled elephants that can’t take care of themselves. Special mahouts are trained to take care of these ‘gentle giants’ who are sometimes orphaned. This orphanage was started in 1975 and has birthed over 20 new-born calves in its premises. Some elephants even have had the opportunity to witness their own grand children being born in the past few decades.
Witness these ‘gentle giants’ as they are fed at 9.15am, 12.15pm & 5.00pm, or when they are bathed at the nearby river– twice a day at 10.00am and 02.00pm respectively. This is an experience that is sure to leave you mesmerized for a life time!

Once you have toured the elephant orphanage, on the way visit spice garden then you will be transferred Kandy
The evening will come to an end with a beautiful cultural show organized for you, that showcases the traditional music and drumming of Sri Lanka.
You will stay the night at a hotel in Kandy.

Day 2  

Kandy / Bentota

Highlights of the day

  • Kandy city tour including visit to Temple of Lord Buddha’s tooth relic
  • Visit to Gem museums, batik factory
  • Visit Kandyan Arts & Crafts

After breakfast, we will take you on a Kandy city tour.

Kandy is known as a world heritage site and it was also the last royal capital of Sri Lankan kings. This city holds an array of culture, history and heritage in the minds of many visitors across the world. While you are here, visit the sacred temple of the tooth – known as “Dalada Maligawa”, this temple holds the famous tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Wonder on a stroll across this small lakeside town and come across the Kandy

City Center nestled amongst the misty hills. This building features many worldwide brands and is an arts & crafts center, shopping mall, and even has a gem museum and lapidary in it. You could also drive towards the Victoria Golf Course, which is without a doubt one of the best golf courses in the world. Stroll through a world of colour as you see an array of fresh fruits and vegetables being sold in the local Kandy market.

After you witness the beautiful city of Kandy, you will then be transferred to Bentota. You will have stay on at a hotel in Bentota for the night.



Day 3

After breakfast at the hotel, the entire day is for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach of Bentota.

Bentota has some of the best beaches in Sri Lanka and is known for the romantic settings carved by both the river and sea. This beautiful setting is utter bliss and will leave you with many memories once you return to your homeland from your holiday in Sri Lanka.

Take a quick dip in the ocean or enjoy some amazing water sports such as jet skiing, surfing, diving or even body boarding.  Evenings are a heavenly bliss for those who enjoy sunsets. Witness the beautiful and enchanting sun as it sets and creates the most beautiful view ever.

You will stay on at the hotel at Bentota for the night.



Day 4 

Bentota / Balapitiya / Kosgoda / Bentota

After breakfast, you will proceed to Kosgoda.

In Kosgoda, you will visit the turtle hatchery which is operated by the Wild Life Protection Society in Sri Lanka. Several rare turtle species are protected at this hatchery, one of the main and most important ones being the hawksbill turtle. Their eggs are said to be left uncovered, scattered all over the coast, unprotected from harm’s way, and fishermen bring them into the hatchery in order to save and protect them. The hatchery has been able to release over 100 baby turtles into the sea in the last 2 years since they opened.

You could even go on a Boat Ride in the Madu River.
The Madu River is a shallow body of water that enters the sea at Balapitiya. During the river safari, you will visit the rural villages in the vicinity where you will also have a chance witness a cinnamon plantation.

You will once again spend the night at the hotel in Bentota.



Day 5  

 Bentota / Colombo / Airport

After breakfast, you will proceed to Colombo do a City Tour & Shopping.

This buzzing city used to be the country’s capital city, it now one of the cleanest cities in Sri Lanka. Check out the crystal white Race Course – that used to be the horse racing hub in 1893 but is now furnished with the latest clothes boutiques, restaurants and tea shops.

You could even travel to Pettah and witness the famous ‘floating market’ for a new kind of shopping experience, or the famous Colombo Port City which is an offshore city featuring parks, commercial complexes and even a F1 track. If you head towards Bauddhaloka Mawatha, you would come across the “Arcade”. This building features the best designer branded shopping boutiques, souvenir shops, restaurants and coffee shops. One of its unique aspects is the ‘walk-over fish tank’ that has made this spot one of the trendiest and coolest hangout spots in Colombo.

Indulge ina chilled beer at the Dutch Hospital that overlooks fancy windows showcasing the best of fashion, jewelry & handicraft brands. The Gangarama temple is also another famous tourist attraction that you could visit.

After Colombo city tour & Shopping, you will proceed to the Airport as this brings an end to your once in a lifetime beach holiday in Sri Lanka.
